THEATRE AND OPERA

​

'Keep Flying with the Music' was selected by Amplified Theatre to be performed as a theatrical production at the Bunker Theatre in London. The play was called 'A Star Named Jim' and it went down an absolute storm. Thanks to Amy Evans for co-writing the script.

​

A song and scene called 'I Don't Belong' is currently being written for Opera North that will be performed in April 2020. It is based on the performance of the opera show: Street Scene.

​

A play based on the life of a working class musician who struggles with fame and public shaming in the age of social media is in the process of being written.

​

SONGWRITING

​

International airplay for numerous songs including the BBC.

​

BBC Introducing have been strong supporters of Jack, and have played many of his original songs. He has also interviewed and live on the BBC, and has mentored young musicians about writing songs.

​

A song written for Year 6 leavers in a Primary School in Shipley.

​

Released an acoustic record that received glowing reviews including:

​

- "Telling his own story, just him and his guitar. Really back to basics, I really like that and it works really well" BBC Introducing

​

-  "Bob Dylan’s protege at work" Klef Notes - A beautifully poetic review of The Carnival by Lakisha Skinner

NOTICEABLE PERFORMANCES

​

Represented Leeds at 2023 European Capital of Culture bid.

​

Played gigs around the country including the Ilkey Folk Festival.

​

Opened and closed the Leeds Curriculum launch event at Leeds City Museum.

​

AWARDS

​

Nominated for the final of Best In Leeds award under Amazing Talent by Gothard Events.

​

'The Carnival is Ours' was nominated for Best Original Song on Absolute Music

​

OTHER

​

'Keep Flying with the Music' was part of a child bereavement exhibition run by Winston's Wish. It was covered by the BBC and was a huge success.

​

Featured on Memoria about how Jack got into music, and how it helped himget through the chaos that surrounded him.

​

Raised over £5,000 for cancer and child bereavement charities including Winston's Wish, Stand up to Cancer, and Bobby Moore Bowel Cancer Fund. As well as getting social media support from charities resulting in high engagement.

​
